You need a stocktaker from the day you take over the business from the outgoing licensee. You should employ an independent valuer with the sole responsibility of working on your behalf.

Our licensed trade business transfer service includes:

  1. Independent count and value of all goods for resale that are purchased
  2. An assessment of your ability to resale the goods at the right profit levels (excess stock, damaged stock, out of date stock, etc)
  3. Independent count and valuation of consumable stocks you are required to purchase (fuel, cleaning materials, menus, etc)
  4. Arbitration on your behalf of any disputed quantities and values.
  5. An experienced professional on-site at 'change over' to advise you on anything that you are not certain about.

Once you are in your premises you should start with regular and frequent stock checks. Remember the deterrent effect of regular stocktaking on wastage and theft.

Our Stocktaker will spend time at the end of the stocktake briefing you personally on the results of the day. Our audit analysis includes:

  2. A reconciliation of your cash as well as your stock
